Danish Saboteurs Set Fire To German Armament Factory In Copenhagen Denmark. The German Gestapo retaliate by destroying stores, film studios, burning many of the rides in Tivoli Gardens amusement park and imposing an 8:00 PM curfew decree. The Danish people called a general strike. Ships and boats scuttled by the Royal Danish Navy in Copenhagen harbor as German troops invaded the Naval Dockyard on August 29, 1943. Various scenes of Copenhagen as the Danish people opposed German Nazi occupation.
