The Axis forces are now enclosed into the small battle area of the port of Tunis and Bizerte with the only escape is by the Mediterranean Sea. The Allied forces pound the Axis forces with artillery fire and bombs dropped by Allied bombers. LS of Hill 609 in Tunisia that dominated the approach to the Mediterranean Sea coast.
