Moscow Russia
International Labour Day (May Day) parade at the Red Square of Moscow, USSR. Vivilians march past and salute to their leaders. A small girl from a troop of marching school girls, the Pioneers, presents General Stalin a bouquet. Political as well as military leaders are on the stage watching the parade. Marching troops carry posters of Lenin, Stalin and other Soviet leaders. Citizens cheering. CU image of Stalin.
Poland & Bucharest Romania
May Day celebrations in Poland and, separately, in Bucharest Romania's Stalin Square. Parade through the streets comprising of workers of mills and factories. The paraders holds posters of Stalin, Lenin and other leaders. A huge crowd gathers to witness the event. Communist leaders and representatives of Poland and Romania accept the salute of marching people. including Gheorghiu-Dej, the Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Romanian Workers Party and Petru Groza, Chairman of the Council of Ministers. Marching paraders release pigeons from cages.
Sofia Bulgaria
May Day celebrations in the "9th of September Square" in Sofia, Bulgaria. Marching troops of workers, men and women, and troops of children through the streets of the capital. The marching troops carry with them the posters of their leaders, including the late Georgi Dimitrov. They cheer and express their respect for the Soviet Union. Members of the Government and political leaders, including Vulko Chervenkov, are saluted by the marching people and troops.

Berlin East Germany-German Democratic Republic
May Day celebrations in Berlin, East Germany (German Democratic Republic or GDR). Parade of civilians and workers through the streets of Berlin. View of Brandenburg Gate in distance. The marching troops salute the German President, Wilhelm Pieck, at the reviewing stands. Among the spectators also are officials from China. The President waves at the workers and children. A huge crowd, nearly half are women, present to witness the parade.
