Synopsis: In only a 60 day turn-around time White Pine Trees are felled converted into usable lumber bound for France with scenes of the Logging Crew a two-man lumber crew showing how a tree is felled using a two-handed cross cut saw and axes to cut a notch in the tree, The Bucking Crew marks the tree every 20 feet to show the follow up crew where to cut, support crew follow the loggers sharpening the two-handed cross cut saws as they dull, oxen are used to pull the wagons of logs to the railyard, a steam skidder and loader is used to place the logs onto the railway flatcars, wood-burning locomotive hauls the long line of log-filled flatcars out of the forest, the logs are rolled from the railcars into the millpond, workers balancing themselves on the floating logs push other logs around the millpond, a picker guides the logs onto a conveyor which carries the logs into the saw mill where it is cut into proper lumber for building, massive pallets are loaded with the dried finished lumber bound for France.
