College Football: 1952 Rose Bowl
A particularly dazzling Rose Parade is the climax to the Tournament of Roses in Pasadena California, the prelude to the greatest bowl game of them all. What had been forecast as a tight game turned into a rout as Illinois intercepted a Stanford pass and converted it into a touchdown. From then on the Indians were scalped to the tune of 40 to 7, and a member of the Big Ten won the classic for the sixth straight time.
