Japanese Officials Arrive To Learn WWII Surrender Terms

Two strange looking Japanese air transports land at Ie Shima. These white BETTY planes bearing the Japanese surrender mission are on their way to Manila to learn General MacArthur’s terms of surrender. The Japanese mission then board giant U.S. “C-54” air transports that will whisk them to Manila. In Manila General MacArthur tells his troops it’s over, and he trusts they can return to the U.S.A. before long.
