Waterfront Fire In New York City
A roaring fire placed a dark blanket over mid-town Manhattan as a blaze engulfs an old railroad terminal on a waterfront pier. Six fire boats and scores of fire engines fight the blaze for an hour before bringing it under control. The old railroad terminal was due for demolition anyway, so the fire just rang down the curtain early on one of New York’s landmarks.
