Arab-Israeli Six-Day War
United Nations Security Council in session as they struggle with the 1967 Arab-Israeli War or Third Arab-Israeli War fought June 5-June 10, 1967 by Israel against the United Arab Republic Egypt, Jordan, and Syria. Russia breaks diplomat relations wit Israel and threatens sanctions.
Burning buildings, bodies of dead Egyptian soldiers, and thousands of prisoners as Israeli Forces swept across the Sinai Peninsula to the Suez Canal and east to Jordan and into Syria. Israeli Forces captured Sharm el-Sheikh at the mouth of the Gulf of Aqaba breaking the blockade imposed by UAR President Nasser. Wounded Israeli soldiers.
Israel quickly defeats Egypt. Israeli Military leaders accepting the unconditional surrender of Egyptian Forces by the UAR Egyptian Commanding General Abdul Hussein. Battle for Bethlehem was brief, but decisive. Israeli tank moving into the old City of Jerusalem. Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Dayan with Israeli soldiers at the Wailing Wall or Western Wall in Jerusalem. CU of Israeli flag waving in the breeze over Jerusalem. Israeli troops marching. Israeli Prime Minister Levi Eshkol flatly states Israel alone will determine her future.
