Pilots Fly Historic "Columbia" (Maple Leaf) To London
The Columbia was flown to Toronto, Canada and re-named "Maple Leaf" and was demonstrated at the 1930 Canadian National Exhibition. The plane which Clarence Chamberlin flew to Germany three years ago, with Charles Levine as passenger, is taken on another trans-Atlantic jaunt by pilot Erroll Boyd and navigator Harry P. Conner who flew it on non-stop round trip between New York and Bermuda on June 29, 1930.
