Yuma Arizona. Waters rapidly rising to dangerous flood conditions, inundating 25,000 acres of irrigated land in Arizona and in California, hazard the lives of inhabitants and brings the threat of ruin to property. Working desperately against the rushing stream the populace unite to combat the increasing threat of doom. CU Footage of steam shovel loading train cars with dirt to form levees. Heavy granite blocks are hauled from the mountain districts miles away and dumped on the levees in an effort to dam the charging river. There are exclusive pictures of an epochal battle by American ranchers against the flood waters of the Colorado River.
