Lower East Side Ghetto is Bee-Hive Of Activity On Eve Of Passover Fete in New York City in the 1930's. Street scenes of the lower East Side; scenes of push-carts lining the streets as Jews, Greeks, and Italians "hawk" their goods. Jews make preparations for the feast (Pesach or Pesah) commemorating the Exodus of the Israelites or Hebrews from Egypt. Shows woman cleaning fish, bearded Jewish man leaving store.
