President Harry S. Truman Presents World Disarmament Plan
In a dramatic bid for world peace, President Truman offers the world a new disarmament proposal based on inspection of all countries. The President's proposals are laid before the United Nations assembly meeting in Paris in 1951, where Secretary Acheson and other members of the Western block try again to solve the differences between East and West. Dr. Luis Padilla Nervo of Mexico becomes the new President of the U.N. General Assembly.
