Conflict In The Middle East
Full-scale fighting is reported along the Israel-Egyptian border after the (UAR) United Arab Republic (Egypt) blockade of the Gulf of Aqaba and the start of The Six-Day War on June 5, 1967. Scene of the USS aircraft carrier Intrepid in the Suez Canal.
The U. S. State Department says we are neutral in "word, thought, and deed."

1967 Paris Air Show
Helicopters makes aviation history. Two U.S. Air Force Sikorsky HH-3E "Jolly Green Giant" helicopters make the first non-stop transatlantic flight from New York to Paris Air Show, Paris France.
Another first in the Paris Air Show was the the gigantic Douglas DC-8-61, world's largest jetliner, makes its first European appearance. It can carry 251 passengers!
Race Riot In Boston MA
Racial violence in America as Black Americans riot in the African-American Boston Roxbury ghetto-section in 1967. Three nights of violence and civil unrest includes smashing, burning, and looting of stores. Mobs throw rocks and bottles at police; a rooftop sniper wounds a fireman. An emergency meeting is called with Boston Black leaders. Night scenes of burning buildings; social unrest in Boston Massachusetts.
U.S. Marines Evacuate Entire Vietnamese Village From War Zone
An entire village (hamlet) of 3,000 people in the de-militarized zone (DMZ) of Vietnam is evacuated to a rear area by U.S. Marines as fighting comes dangerously close to the buffer-zone between South Vietnam and North Vietnam.
Free Chinese Troops On Island Of Quemoy
Red China as seen from the tiny island of Quemoy or Kinmen (Jinmen). Image of a Free China soldier on watch on Quemoy. Free Chinese troops live and work underground, manning radio station. Large balloons carry leaflets, medicine, food, and necessities to the Communist Chinese mainland, less than two miles away. Shows release of larger balloons from Quemoy.

A bathing beauty contest for grandmothers is won by 48-year old Mrs. Rosemary Saks, twice a grannie, twice married, about to walk the aisle a third time in one month. She admits to 48.
European Soccer: West Germany vs. Scotland
Bayern Munich, West Germany, and Glasgow Rangers, Scotland, play to a scoreless tie at the regulation end of the European Cup soccer game. A "sudden death" overtime goal by Frantz Roth wins it for the West Germans.
