Speeding Plane Makes A Daring Rooftop US Mail Pickup
Bandleader and Aviator Roger Wolf Kahn, makes daring test at low altitude. Swooping down to within a few yards of a building roof a hook extended from the plane snags mail pouches suspended between two up-right poles. The mail pouch is air-dropped to a waiting vehicle in a field for local delivery. Shows Kahn in cockpit and taking off in a 1930 Bellanca CH-4 Skyrocket plane.
