Liberty Bell Replicas As Part Of U.S. Savings Bond Drive
The S.S. Excalibur arrives in New York from France with thirteen replicas of the historic Liberty Bell. They are the first shipment of bells which will peal out the message through all states during the Independence bond drive. These Liberty Bells were presented to each state by the Federal government to promote a U.S. Savings Bond drive on America's 200th birthday.
