A new underwater "sea plow" helps to bury transatlantic telephone cables on the ocean floor. It digs a trench into which the cable is laid, protecting it from dredges and fishermen.

In London world champion miler Jim Ryun beats Kenya's Keino by five yards in a disappointingly slow race in the U.S.- British track meet.
