Charlie Chaplin - The Floorwalker

The store manager is played by Eric Campbell and the store's floorwalker is played by Lloyd Bacon. The film is noted for the first “running staircase” or escalator. In one scene Lloyd Bacon and Charlie Chaplin stumble into an office from opposite doors and are intrigued by their likeness to each other. They mirror each other's movements to deft comic effect in a highly influential "mirror scene" that was duplicated many times by other actors in later films.
