The "Rome-Berlin Axis" became a military alliance under the Pact of Steel signed by Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany in the Reich Chancellery (German: Reichskanziei) in Berlin in 1939 formalizing the 1936 Rome-Berlin Axis agreement. Shows Italian Foreign Minister, Count Galeazzo Ciano, arriving at Berlin train station and is met by Joachim von Ribbentrop. Ciano reviews honor guards as band plays. Count Galeazzo Ciano and Joachim von Ribbentrop drive through streets of Berlin to the cheers of thousands of German people. Panning view of the throngs of people lining Berlin street. Shows Hitler entering the hall where Italian and German officials are assembled for the signing of the European Axis Pact. Hitler greets Count Ciano, Goering, and several other officials before taking his seat.
