U.S. Troops Entertain Dutch Refugees
In England 500 young Dutch refugees arrive at an American Convalesce Center. For each youngster there was a soldier comrade and the visit started with lunch for the children. These children were refugees from the Netherlands. A young Dutch girl pins the Purple Heart Medal on a soldier wounded in her home town of Nijmegen Holland. Dutch children look at a B-29 Flying Fortress on display. At the end of the visit as the children boarded busses the soldiers gave each child a piece of candy.
