Invention Of Mechanical Cotton Picker
Shows two black people picking cotton by hand. CU of cotton fibers after the cotton boll naturally split open exposing the cotton fibers in segments called locks. Cotton now ready to pick.
The Rust Brothers demonstrating a mechanical cotton picking machine invented by them. A sign on the machine reads "Rust Cotton Picker". As the machine picks the cotton the cotton fibers are loaded into a large bag attached to the machine while the dried cotton bolls are discarded.
