John F. Kennedy Memorial Built In Israel
Yad Kennedy, a magnificent monument honoring slain American President John F. Kennedy, is located on an isolated mountaintop in the Mateh Yehuda Region near Jerusalem. The Kennedy Memorial symbolizes the enduring friendship between Israel and the United States of America. Built by the Israeli government, financed by the Jewish National Fund, some 2000 persons attend the dedication at which Chief Justice and Mrs. Earl Warren were honored guests.
Berlin Wall Upgraded By Communist Regime
Shows East German guards with dog patrolling a sector of the Berlin Wall. A new, slick, prefabricated wall is to replace the old Berlin Wall and construction has already started. The new wall will be higher, more modern, and impossible to climb. The new barrier is a renewal of the Cold War, following the collapse of unscheduled East -West German debates and discussions. Scenes of West Berlin Reichstag (Parliament) building.
Milwaukee Days Festival With A Circus Parade
A glorious, horse-drawn circus parade, the kind granddad knew 50 years ago, is the highlight of the old Milwaukee Days Festival. It features 50 antique, genuine circus wagons drawn by teams of purebred draft horses. Clowns, animals, bands, all add to the spectacle.
1966 Wimbledon Tennis Finals
Pro Tennis Player Manuel Santana of Spain wins the men's singles title at Wimbledon in straight sets against America's Dennis Ralston. America comes back, however, as Billie Jean King tops the three-time Wimbledon women's singles champion, Maria Bueno of Brazil.
