WWII Kamikaze Planes Attack US Naval Forces
Japanese “Kamikaze” pilots, in fanatical attempts to die for their Emperor, are shot down in numbers by one of our Task Forces. Some get through and crash their planes on the decks of our ships. Our men, attempting to bring their planes in safely, have plenty of trouble—one bursting in flames after landing.
The aircraft carrier USS Bunker Hill, victim of these Japanese attacks, limps home safely after fighting off the attackers as dramatic pictures show.
