Shipboard Nuclear Power Plant Ready Aid Disaster Areas
The world's first floating nuclear power station debuts at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. The "Sturgis" is a converted Liberty Ship that carries a nuclear power plant capable of producing ten million watts of electrical power, enough for a city of 20 thousand people. The ship-board nuclear power plant can be used both in military operations and disaster areas.
