NASA Tests Future Rocket Engines
At an Aerojet rocket test facility near Homestead Florida there were three static test firings of the AJ-260 solid fuel (propellant) rocket engine. Near burnout during the SL-3 test firing the nozzle of the gigantic rocket-engine breaks loose, shooting flames hundreds of feet in the air, rattling cameras over two miles away, and raining debris over a wide area.
