Boy Scouts Help Animals To Sign Drive Safely Petition

Nature students of the Boy Scouts make a trip to the Bronx Zoo and “secure names” for one of the most humane petitions New York City Mayor James J. Walker has received during his term of office. The youngsters, hoping for a greater degree of freedom for small animals, visit retreats of the raccoons, ‘possums, woodchucks, squirrels, song birds, turtles, and toads where they take “impressions” to a scroll that is presented to Mayor Walker. Interceding for the helpless animals the boys ask the Mayor to issue a proclamation exhorting motorists to be more careful of little animals on the road.
