The Dutch General surrendered Rotterdam to save Dutch lives in WWII, but after the unconditional surrender, the City of Rotterdam is reduced to ruins by Luftwaffe Dornier 17 bombers. Flight of German Luftwaffe Junkers JU 87 or “Stuka” dive bombers attacking the City of Rotterdam; wailing audio sounds of the “Jericho-Trompete” as the JU 87 is in a dive.
Note: The Junkers JU 87 or “Stuka” dive bomber had the Jericho-Trompete or “Jericho Trumpet” mounted on the leading edge of the landing gear that produced a screaming howl in a dive. These wailing sirens became a terror and propaganda tool for the German Luftwaffe.

German Panzer units invading Belgium in WWII. Battle of Fort Eben-Emael on the Albert Canal on May 10-11, 1940 between Belgian and German forces. An assault force of German Fallschirmjager (paratroopers) was tasked with assaulting and capturing Fort Eben-Emael. German paratroopers, JU 87 “Stuka” dive bombers, troops with flame throwers and a special engineering battalion using high explosives in a coordinated attack on the Belgium Fort Eben-Emael on the Albert Canal (waterway). Fort Eben-Emael was captured in a two day battle allowing the Germans to cross the Albert Canal on bridges.

Men, women, and child refugees flee the advancing German army.
