Scenes of the townspeople of Gardelegen, Germany carrying crosses to a local barn containing 1,016 victims of the "Gardelegen massacre". On April 13, 1945 the German SS and Luftwaffe troops forced slave labors they were moving by train from the Mittelbau-Dora labor camp into a large barn near Gardelegen, Germany and set it on fire. The ones not burned alive were shot trying to escape the flames.

At Weimar Germany all citizens were assembled in the streets and marched to the concentration camps.
