U.S. Fleet Returns December 1918
U.S Navy ships of Battleship Division Nine pass a reception boat in New York City harbor. Admiral Sims and Admiral Wilson, Secretary of the Navy Daniels, and New York Mayor John Francis Hylan review the incoming warships from the reception boat. The United States Battleship Division Nine was a division of four (later five) dreadnought battleships of the U.S. Atlantic Fleet in WWI. The four battleships were the USS New York BB-34, USS Delaware BB-28, USS Florida BB-30, USS Wyoming BB-32. The fifth battleship that joined the squadron in February 1918 was the USS Texas BB-35.
