Adolph Hitler Opens Section Of German Autobahn 1933
Parade of autobahn workers and members of the Organization Todt (OT), a Third Reich civil and engineering group in Germany, who wore civilian clothing , carried shovels and pledged their allegiance to Hitler. OT was under the leadership of Dr. Fritz Todt. Hitler accepts a shovel from Fritz Todt ? and shakes hands. Images of Hitler addressing the (OT) members at the site of the first autobahn linking Frankfurt to Heidelberg. Hitler declares his commitment to the German worker: "before many years pass a gigantic work will bear testimony to your service, industry, skill and determination. German laborers! To work!"

Rudolf Hess Reaffirms Hitler's Faith In SA After Night Of The Long Knives 1934
Rudof Hess addresses all national socialists of the world and emphasizes the peace and freedom of Germany. Hess reaffirms Hitler's faith in the SA (Sturmabteilungen) after the Roehm Purge or Night of The Long Knives. Newsreel item introduces speech by Hess at Königsberg to camera: "I am warning with as much seriousness as I warned at the time of my Cologne speech those who played with the idea of a second revolution. Just as the old SA man stands loyal to his Führer, so the Führer stands loyal to his old SA man".
Note: Between June 30 and July 2, 1934, the Nazi Party leadership, on the order of Nazi Party Leader and Reich Chancellor Adolf Hitler, purged the leadership of the Nazi paramilitary formation, the SA Sturmabteilungen or Brown Shirts. The Nazi leaders took advantage of the purge to kill other political enemies, primarily on the German nationalist right. Known as the "Night of the Long Knives" or "Operation Hummingbird," the murders cemented an agreement between the Nazi regime and the German Army (Reichswehr) that enabled Hitler to proclaim himself Führer of National Socialist Germany and to claim absolute power.
