U.S. MOVES TO HALT ADVANCE BY RED ARMY IN SOUTH KOREA
First pictures from the fighting front in Korea, where the tide of war still runs against the defending South Koreans. American planes step up their attacks as troop transports fly in the first of American soldiers to help defend the embattled republic. Back in the U. S., big B-29 bombers take off to re-inforce our air fleets in Japan, and U. S. Marines prepare to embark for action overseas.

AMERICA GOES ALL OUT TO BACK U. N. IN KOREA
News from the fighting front in Korea, and a round-up of America's all-out campaign to back the United Nations. American troops continue to arrive in increasing numbers, and General MacArthur personally visits the battle front. Pitiful streams of refugees flee advancing Red forces. Back home, Marines prepare to. embark for Japan, and Canadian destroyers sail to fight with other warships under the United Nations aegis.

SAYVILLE, L.I. Racing up ladders, dropping off trucks underway, and reeling out the hose at top speedóthese are spectacular highlights of Suffolk County Volunteer Firemen's tourney.

TIMBER CARNIVAL
ALBANY, OR. Hardy woodsmen of the Northwest engage in thrilling contests, including speed climbing, sawing and log rolling. The boys get warm but cool off during the log rolling.

TENNIS AT WIMBLEDON
Thrilling finals at Wimbledon. Packed galleries see dramatic finals battle between Budge Patty of U. S. and Sedgman of Australia. Wearied by long doubles duel the previous day, both men are exhausted, with Patty the winner.

KOREAN CONFLICT
America, spearheading the United Nations forces, girds for a long fight. Draftees are called up as allied forces in South Korea fight desperate rear guard actions to hold the on-rolling Reds.

NATIONAL LEAGUERS WIN ALL-STAR GAME
In one of the most thrilled packed games of the season the National Leaguers finally win the decision after fourteen innings of play. The final score, four to three on a homer by Red Schoendinest of the Cardinals.

LA MOTTA KEEPS MIDDLEWEIGHT TITLE
NEW YORK After 15 torrid rounds, Jake LaMotta wins a unanimous decision over Tiberio Mitri of Italy. The Italian stages a gallant rally during the closing rounds but it's not enough to overcome the lead of slugging Jake.

WAR IN KOREA
Americans and their allies fight a desperate rear guard action against Red North Koreans, as British fleet units join the United Nations fight against the aggression. While carrier strikes are launched against the invaders, Generals Collins and Vandenberg return to the United States to report to the president. Meanwhile aircraft carriers and B-29's are taken out of mothballs to meet the rapidly mounting emergency.

ERIC JOHNSTON LAUDS NEWSREELS
NEW YORK Eric Johnston, president of the Motion Picture Association, leaves for England to negotiate a new contract for American pictures. He takes the occasion to pay tribute to the skill of news-reel organizations in bringing screen news to the American public.

CALGARY STAMPEDE
CALGARY, ALTA This prairie city throws a really wild and woolly rodeo and stampede on the occasion of its diamond jubilee. Prime Minister Saint Laurent is present for the festivities.

HARNESS RACING
TORONTO The trotters are out for the biginning of a 42-day racing season. Sam Hy wins in a photo finish.

ALLIES HOLD TIGHT IN KOREA AS PRES. TRUMAN ALERTS NATION
News from the Korean front, and Pres. Truman's dramatic call to arms. From Okinawa, Su-perforts just arrived from the U. S. take off to bomb North Korean targets. At a So. Korean port, American reinforcements arrive to bolster our hard-pressed forces.

WASHINGTON In his first major address to the nation since the war, the President warns Russia of disturbing the peace and asks for additional funds to end the Korean conflict.

FASHIONS IN FALL HOSIERY
NEW YORK Hollywood-inspired stockings, featured bejewelled creations and separate colors and designs appliqued by an electronic process, are revealed during a swanky preview in the Big Town.

BARUCH GETS AWARD
NEW YORK Elder Statesman Bernard Baruch receives the Variety Clubs' International Humanitarian Award for his outstanding contributions to America's underprivileged.

AMPUTEES BASEBALL
NEW YORK 15,000 fans turn out at the Polo Grounds to cheer a team of veteran amputees, who defeat an all-star team despite their handicaps. A heart-warming story of bravery and baseball.

MADRID, SPAIN Senor Garreras, Argentine champion, demonstrates some of the intricate maneuvers in his bag of tricks. These astounding tricks amaze an appreciative audience.

TROOP LANDINGS BACK EMBATTLED U. N. FORCES
KOREA The arrival of re-inforcements from Japan is good news for the weary men fighting terrific odds to stem the onrushing Red invaders. Big task force unloads troops and supplies at a South Korean port. A dramatic salute to American soldiers, sailors and airmen is made by Pres. Syngman Rhee, head of the Korean Republic.

KING LEOPOLD BACK FROM EXILE
BELGIUM With Belgium's Parliament nearly evenly divided on the issue of his return, King Leopold returns by air to take over the uneasy throne of his homeland. In exile since the surrender to the Nazis ten years ago, he is heavily guarded by troops during the drive from the airport.

WATER SKIING
GREENWOOD LAKE, N.Y. Come along for a dizzy spin on the lake, to watch the aquatic slatmen go over the jumpsóand into the drink.

OTTAWA, ON. Canada pays its last tribute to MacKenzie King, former Prime Minister and great world leader. Prime Minister Saint Laurent, Viscount Alexander and others pass before bis bier on Parliament Hill.

CONEY HAILS FILM STAR
NEW YORK Charles Coburn, veteran actor and star of the forthcoming picture "Louisa," gets a big welcome at Coney Island. He leaves a good impression (in cement) after a big day at the beach.

BARCELONA, SPAIN During a close race by snorting midget racers, one driver narrowly escapes with his life when his car hurtles through the air, spilling him out on the dirt track.

NEW HAMPSHIRE A summer ski meet brings out the ski-birds for a go on artificial snow. The finish line is a pile of hay, and when they hit it, anything can happen.

New aid, both in manpower and in equipment, is rushed to the fighting front in Korea, where GI's are still falling back against a foe superior in numbers. Action films from the front show U.S. forces fighting delaying action. ó Defense Dept. pictures show new-type 3.5 super-bazookas being tested. ó Home from Holy Year pilgrimage to Rome, Samuel Cardinal Stritch of Chicago makes dramatic statement on our fight for peace.
