KOREA STORY
Reinforced Yanks dig in on a shrinking beach head. As fresh troops arrive, the United States wins a victory in the United Nations Security Council with adoption of its motion to consider the condemnation of North Korea as the first order of business on the agenda. However, America's fifth column swings into action and Union Square in New York becomes the scene of violent rioting by so-called "peace" proponents of the left wing.

RODEO SPARKS PIONEER DAYS
JOSEPH, OREGON Named after a famous Indian warrior, Chief Joseph, this little pioneer town stages a colorful Chief Joseph Days Celebration. Film stars Walter Brennan and Chill Wills, on hand for the Oregon premier of "Curtain Call At Cactus Creek," join in the festivities culminating with a bang-up wild west rodeo.

The Marine supply base at Barstow, California springs to life as World War Two tanks and guns are reconditioned and sped to ports of embarkation, while UN troops launch counter attacks and stall the Red advance.

JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES
NEW YORK Seventy-five thousand of the sect's followers gather for a giant meeting and a wholesale baptism follows.

52 HURT IN TRAIN CRASH
NEW YORK Fifty-two commuters were hurt and 200 were shaken up as a Long Island passenger train crashed into the rear of a freight.

WINTER CHAPEAUX
PARIS The Rue de la Paix again comes through with some startling creations for milady, and startling is just the word.

HALF-PINT RODEO
ENGLAND Perky little Dartmoor and their juvenile riders put on a show that would make an old buckeroo sit up and take notice.

DIVING CHAMPS
HIGH POINT, N.C. The nation's top women divers put on a championship show off the high platform and the one-meter board. Pat McCor-mick sweeps the field in all classes.

THE KOREA STORY
Reinforcements continue to pour into Korea as United Nations forces halt the Red advance on Pusan. GI's screen infiltrating North Koreans and search them for weapons. General MacArthur visits Formosa for a discussion with Generalissimo Chiang on the defense of the vital island bastion. Back home in this country, the United Nations Security Council debate bogs down under the obstructionist presidency of Soviet delegate Jacob Malik.

SUGAR RAY RETAINS TITLE
JERSEY CITY Sugar Ray Robinson, in the last defense of his welterweight title, completely outclasses Charley Fusari, taking thirteen out of the fifteen rounds, in a bout that was staged for the Runyon Cancer Fund. Among the celebrities on hand are Jim Farley, Walter Winchell and Gene Tunney.

THE HAMBLETONIAN
GOSHEN, N.Y. In the richest stake of harness racing, Lusty Song sweeps the field of thirteen in two straight heats, winning $40,000 for his owner. It's a close one in the second heat, with Star's Pride giving Lusty Song a run for the money.

THE KOREA STORY
SEESAW BATTLE IS RAGING FOR VITAL BEACHHEAD AREA
Late films from the fighting front in Korea. The battle for the beachhead still rages all around the front, where communist pressure is heaviest in the northwest sector. On the east front, at Pohang, the vital airstrip is evacuated, but from Japan our jet fighters keep up the job of hammering at enemy concentrations. U. S. wounded, and captured North Koreans, bring the war into stark focus.

LION TAMERS, JUNIOR-GRADE
ATLANTIC CITY At the famed Steel Pier, veteran lion tamer Dick Clemens conducts a class in lion-taming for the youngsters. One brave girl tries her skill at holding Mister Leo at bay, as other fascinated youngsters watch the scarey proceedings.

At Post, Texas, the small-fry cowhands try their luck with bulls and bronchos. The kids do their best but come out second best to the beasts, just like their older brothers.

WATER SKIING
Gathered in Seattle for the National Championships, daring ski-birds of both sexes try their skill over the jumps. High-light is the dare-devil who skims along on his bare feet.

The airforce unleashes the most massive B-29 attack of the war. More than a hundred Super-forts drop 4500 tons of bombs. With strafing fighters, they break up a planned Red offensive against hard pressed UN forces along the Naktong River.

GERMANY After 30 years, experts evolve one of the most perfect replicas of the form divine. Its preview has the crowds gaping.

BARUCH HONORED
NEW YORK The nation's most distinguished park bench sitter is made honorary Commissioner of Works for the Borough of Manhattan on the eve of his eightieth birthday.

NEW ARMY STYLES
WASHINGTON There's a new look for women of the Air Force. Smart new uniforms are modelled by WAF's who could do duty as models if duty didn't call them to the Airforce.

TANKER BLASTED
NEW JERSEY Off the Jersey coast, a tanker torpedoed in 1942 is blown up with 15 tons of TNT, after it proves a menace to navigation.

A BULLY TIME
ESTELLA, SPAIN In an annual fiesta, bulls are loosed through the streets of the city, then corralled in the arena and the results do not leave the amateur matadors sitting pretty.

MUNICH, GERMANY One hundred and sixty feet above the ground, the Zugspitz acrobats do their stuffólike riding a bicycle and acting like they were on the ground.

CANADIAN RAIL STRIKE
Canada's industry suffers a paralyzing blow as 125,000 trainmen walk out, leaving the nation without transportation. Parliament is summoned in emergency session to deal with the crisis.

LUXURY LINER GETS NEW NAME
NEW YORK The former Nazi liner Europa, now under the French flag returns to New York after 11 years, and twenty million dollar remodelling job, sporting a new name ó Liberte.

WAR IN KOREA
Chief of Staff Collins and Navy Chief of Operations Sherman arrive in Tokyo to confer with General MacArthur. B-29's again pour it on North Koreans and a young GI identifies captured Koreans as the murderers of 26 of his buddies after they had been taken prisoner. At the Security Council Warren Austin gives the lie direct to Jacob Malik.

With plenty of fire power, the refurbished Pershing tank shows what it can do during maneuvers at Camp Carson, Colorado.

JAP BABY SHOW
LOS ANGELES Nisei babies compete for the title of king and queen. You've seen Japanese dolls? Well these can walk and talk and cry.

ENGLAND The Oba of Benin takes only the youngest of his eight wives and a daughter as he visits England as the guest of the British Council.

LATE NEWS FROM KOREA
KOREA Late films just in from Korea show action in the hotly contested Pohang sector, twice changed hands and again under fire from communist guns. On other sectors of the 120-mile front, GI's and South Korean troops continue to stall off Red advances and retake ground previously lost. Meanwhile, our mighty B-29 Superforts take off for more raids against industrial targets and communication centers. Mighty support for United Nations troops fighting to oust the Reds from South Korea.

HOSPITAL SHIP SUNK IN COLLISION
SAN FRANCISCO Eighteen are dead and fourteen are missing in the tragic sinking of the Navy hospital ship "Benevolence" off the fog-shrouded Golden Gate. Miraculously, hundreds were rescued when the mercy vessel was rammed by a freighter and sank in fifteen minutes. Ship had recently been de-mothballed for Korean service.

AUSSIES WIN TENNIS CROWN
FOREST HILLS, L.I. After lapse of 11 years, the Australian tennis stars win back the coveted Davis Cup. In thrilling doubles, Sedg-man and Bromwich defeat the Americans, Schroeder and Mulloy in five sets.

LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL
WILLIAMSPORT, PA. Cute youngsters twelve and under stage their own "World Series." Teams from Texas and Connecticut clash on a small-scale diamond, with the Lone Star champs winning, 2-1.

All along the front, outnumbered GI's and South Koreans hold doggedly to advance positions, while behind the lines, dramatic scenes unfold as American boys who gave their lives are laid to rest. Red communist prisoners help build their own POW camps. ó In New. York, Swedish hospital unit arrives by plane, enroute to the fighting front in Korea.

WAVES GO TO SEA
CALIFORNIA For the first time, members of our womens' Navy go to sea on a man-o-war. Two destroyers take large group of Waves for two-day indoctrination cruise afloat.

UNDERWATER TRUCK
CHESAPEAKE BAY The Army's new all-weather, all-purpose truck, dubbed "Eager-Beaver," rides well submerged in special try-outs. "Snorkel" exhaust tubes keep truck going with moter under water.
